Internal linked heading using link tool (this work)Copying and pasting using the source code
Now I've copied and pasted the content from the Original "draft" article here, to this new "live" article. I copied it this way....using the source code feature.
Now, view this article in live preview, and click on the same same phrase "start with the content" below. Do you move to the heading in this article, or do you go back to the original draft article?
That is the change in behavior that we experienced! We used to copy and paste articles, and the heading link would dynamically update to continue to reference the heading links internally, within the same article. This is no longer happening. It's now staying "static" and linking out to the previous article.
I cannot imagine a use-case for the current behavior. If someone is copying and pasting all content, and there are internal references /links to headings, I cannot imagine someone wanting to break that and instead link to other articles elsewhere.

This article is an example of the original draft article.
Imagine this is where we start with the content ( this content was copy/paste from another aritcle THIS DOES NOT WORK) and save it in a Draft folder that will never be public.
Often there is a live article in another folder that is public. We work in this "draft" space, editing content, creating all the links to internal headings and other articles, etc. Then, once it is 100% ready to go live, we copy and paste the entire content from this article, to the live article. (We copy and paste the content by using the source code feature.)
Please preview this article, and click on the phrase "start with the content" to see that it correctly links to the "Here is a heading 2" heading below.
Here is a heading 2
I linked to this heading from the phrase "start with the content" above. Here's how I added the link.
Currently, in this original article, the heading 2 is given the ID below. Peek at the source code to confirm.
